One adjustable nest looks simpler than a drawer of inserts

For a small family of parts, would you rather adjust one robot-loading nest or swap a dedicated insert? I'm drawn to fewer loose bits, but I don't want each change to become a measuring job. Interested in where people draw the line between adjustable and needlessly fiddly.

I'd lean towards identified inserts. More pieces to store, yes, but I can prepare the next kit without asking someone to remember an adjustment. Only a stores preference, not a verdict on your fixture.

Depends how often another size appears. I'd be reluctant to make a dedicated insert for every one-off. A drawer full of obsolete answers isn't especially flexible either.

Can the next setup be prepared while the current job runs? That's what I'd compare, not just the number of pieces in the drawer
