The proposed FR10 recipe check reads the carrier label. Two similar housing inserts fit that carrier, including backwards. How should the review catch what is actually fitted instead of trusting the outer label?
Put both physical inserts in front of tooling and controls before buying a reader. Show wrong family and reversal as separate cases, then ask what will identify the fitted insert and orientation for the selected recipe.
We tried the combinations in the tooling review. Wrong family seats, reversed correct family also seats. The proposed scan of the carrier would accept all three arrangements.
Then the proposed scan is identifying the wrong object. I'd settle the mechanical options with the designer and define the fitted-state checks with controls, including removal after an earlier successful check. You can write the cases now without pretending a barcode reader has solved them.
Designer is comparing keying options. Controls has the removal and restart cases, plus unreadable identity. No hardware selected from the carrier-label proposal.
Thanks for trying the actual combinations. Will the eventual operator check include a wrong insert beside the correctly labelled carrier, without the designer telling them which one you've fitted?
And who keeps the recipe association current when an insert revision changes? Family name alone may stay the same while the locating arrangement changes underneath it.
