Our UR5e block leaves the fixture square and reaches the tray crooked

I kept a side-view recording after our latest pickup correction because I couldn't see why another nudge helped. The spacer block looks square as it leaves the fixture, then twists just before it enters the tray. Everyone has been calling this pickup drift, including me. What should maintenance compare before we change the points again?

Can you see whether it twists before touching the tray or at the first tray contact?

We once watched the wrong end of a transfer for ages because the report called it a pickup fault. Your title is already more useful. I'd show maintenance the last square frame and first crooked one together.

Zara, the receiving guide hides the first contact, so I can't answer yet; Luca, the clip is tied to the saved job and I've stopped further edits.

Have maintenance inspect the receiving guide and intended clearance under isolation. Don't make a nearer live video the next step just because the useful bit is hidden.

Does the block show a contact mark that could help them locate where it catches?

There is a shiny rub on one lower corner, but I don't know whether it existed before this transfer; I've kept that block with the tray.

That uncertainty is worth saying. I wouldn't quietly promote the shiny corner to proof just because it matches what we're all now looking for.

Maintenance found the receiving guide mounted inside its drawn position; a replacement backing strip is thicker than the specified one, moving the guide towards the block.

Was that strip replaced around the time the point corrections started?

Yes, the service entry predates the first correction; there are three edited job versions after it, all with a receiving-position change.

Then get the intended guide arrangement restored and the compensating edits reviewed together. Otherwise one person fixes the hardware and another leaves the robot faithfully avoiding the old mistake.

Our maintenance lead, with the programmer; the correct backing strip is fitted and measured, and they have selected the reviewed job for the return checks.

Include the ordinary replacement tray as well as the one that exposed this. A lovely repeat on one carefully seated tray won't tell the covering operator much about the next changeover.

Archived outside the operator job list, Luca; Rachel, both normal trays were included in the checks, with the operator doing the changeover. No twist at entry and no new corner rub on the identified samples.

The backing-strip reference is now on the spare list and the service check names its thickness; I'm glad we stopped calling it pickup drift before buying fingers to compensate for a receiving-guide error.
