Why does our UR5e spacer turn before it clears the pocket?

Our spacer starts square in the tray and turns as one finger closes. We keep moving the pickup to compensate. What should maintenance compare first, with the tray still appearing to sit in the right place?

Does it happen at the same finger across several pockets, or only at one tray position?

Same finger, several pockets. That's why I'm less convinced by the latest suggestion to move the whole tray.

Have maintenance compare the two contact profiles and their backing parts with the intended assembly. Keep the actual spacer examples and saved job versions with the check, so the next change doesn't erase what prompted these corrections.

Finger references match. Maintainer found one backing strip is thicker than the assembly drawing shows. No change note in the folder. Toolmaker is checking what belongs there.

Keep that strip identified. A tidy-up could put it back in general spares.

Was the thicker strip fitted before the pickup problems began, Nick?

Maintenance log puts it at the last pad replacement, before the first compensating edit. Toolmaker confirms it belongs to another assembly. Correct strip is being supplied.

Then the integrator needs those edits reviewed against the corrected assembly. Matching the hardware drawing will not make a job taught around the thicker strip right by itself.

Correct strip fitted and job review complete. Supervised pickup no longer turns the retained spacer. Remaining accepted samples and release into the receiving tray still to check. Thanks, Sarah, both owners had the same setup for once.

Did the complete return check finish, including those other spacers? I'd like to know whether the pickup improvement held through the rest of the job.
