Our sealed accessory box had 169 mounting sets but only 157 tool cables. Each of our 169 ordered kits should contain one cable. The seller is now talking about total pieces, although the final contents message lists both items per kit.

Show the two component counts against the confirmed per-kit list. That leaves twelve incomplete kits; a grand total of loose pieces will only muddy it.

They accepted that reconciliation and found a separate package of twelve cables in their packing area. It has not been collected yet. We have kept the incomplete kits apart.

Have those twelve been dispatched under a separate reference now? Ask them to include the cable identity, so stores can check more than the number.
