How do I check access for machine fixture loading? (Fairino FR5)

We're considering Fairino FR5 for machine fixture loading with a short steel blank in a supervised machine tending bay, with 186 planned. The sketch reaches the fixture. Trouble is, we left out the gripper body and open door. I'd like to check access properly before choosing an arm

Can you compare measured door geometry with the proposed gripper envelope? An offline layout including both may expose access issues that the reach sketch doesn't represent.

After comparing the outlines, I found that the proposed approach overlaps the door handle even though the workpiece itself clears. That explains the misleadingly comfortable result in my initial sketch

Start from those measurements and review approach and withdrawal offline with the full tool, cables and maintenance access included. A revised mount then needs the integrator's assessment.

@MeiAllen0342 Our buyer says go bigger. Does that help, or just buy the same problem in a larger arm?

@HanaBrown0883 Going larger should open up mounting options. It might be the most straightforward option to explore.

@MeiAllen0342 Bigger could bring another obstruction. Extra reach won't shrink the gripper past that handle

You're right; more mounting freedom isn't guaranteed. Check each candidate in the measured layout and only favour a larger arm if its full approach works better.

@MeiAllen0342 We had a different machine application where a good transfer layout put the pedestal across a service panel. Maintenance spotted the catch immediately.

Checked ours. The suggested pedestal overlaps a panel opening too. More red pen for the drawing

The handle overlap gives us something concrete to fix. No assessed layout yet, so the arm stays on the shortlist

@HanaBrown0883 The obstruction is a useful finding, even with the final layout still open.
