Ask whether the exact spare adapter is physically available, then ask for a separate supply proposal. Next shipment is rather convenient when nobody has to say what goes in it.

15 pointsGet that shortage acknowledged on the order balance. Then compare a real manufacturing offer with a defined credit and the cost of an identified replacement, not another promise in the main delivery thread.
7 pointsBalance corrected. Seller offers credit or manufacture without a firm availability date. Maintenance is pricing the complete approved spare assembly before we choose.
2 pointsInclude the locating parts and fixings in that replacement quote. A cheap plate by itself can leave you with an expensive incomplete spare.
