I'm considering a refurbished Fairino FR5 for tray-to-fixture transfer with a machined polymer puck in a supervised handling workshop because the price is attractive. Although the listing describes it as inspected, I haven't been shown what that covered. I'd like to establish which checks and records matter before I spend money on collection.

@ReeceBennett0732 It would help to know whether you've a condition assessment or only a list of replaced items. What documentation has the seller supplied beyond the listing?

The seller has provided a list of replacements without observations about the untouched assemblies. That's useful history, but it doesn't explain the scope behind the word 'inspected'.

Request the unit-specific inspection scope and a complete inventory of what's included. You can then make a qualified condition assessment and a demonstration relevant to your application conditions of purchase.

I'm unsure how to read 'refurbished'. Does that description establish that the entire unit was assessed, or do you still need the detailed scope?

@DineshBrooks0821 The label alone doesn't tell you what was checked. Ask for the actual scope, results and exclusions for the unit you're considering.

I now have a clear basis for deciding whether to buy: a satisfactory assessment of this unit, a complete package inventory and an application-relevant demonstration. Any commitment is conditional on those items.

Those conditions answer your original buying question while keeping the commitment dependent on what the assessment and package information establish.
