I've sent examples with a seam in the proposed pickup region, heavy print and the rougher board we receive, each identified; the supplier has agreed to report by condition rather than send one successful clip.

Will the assessment include the destination release as well as pickup? I mean the actual handling task, not just holding each different surface on the bench.

And record any preparation they need. Moving a seam out of the cup area might be practical, but it is work somebody must perform, not proof the incoming orientation was fine.

Does your normal feed hold the carton orientation, Rosa?

That leaves a specific choice to cost: an orientation-controlled method versus a tool approach that tolerates your incoming seam positions. Neither is free just because the arm can already transfer the other examples.

Keep the passing examples too. They show something useful, even though they don't rescue the seam case. I'd be annoyed if a cautious summary turned the whole trial into either works or doesn't work.
