All the mounting plates arrived, only half the finger pairs

I laid out our FR5 changeover kits and found a mounting plate for every kit, but only enough fingers to complete half of them. The seller now counts fingers individually, although their final message says a pair per kit. Has anyone got past this sort of counting argument?

Compare the agreed contents of one kit with the delivered contents item by item, retaining the invoice and final contents message; that makes the shortage visible without debating the total number of loose pieces.

Sent a photo of one complete kit and the incomplete ones beside it. They agree with my physical count now (small victory), but still say the quoted quantity meant individual fingers.

Ask them to explain how that interpretation fits their pair-per-kit message, and state the missing quantity required to complete the ordered kits; purchasing can then seek a specific remedy against that discrepancy.

Purchasing has done that. Seller offered to sell the remaining fingers separately, which does not resolve what we agreed originally. We have left the order discrepancy open.
