I added a tray locator to our FR5 sleeve-transfer cell and pickup looked steadier in a few supervised runs. Then we replaced the tray and got another miss. I want my update to include both observations. The improvement looked real, but I haven't established how broadly it holds or what caused the later miss.
I raised a similar spacer trial and still needed to establish how stores distinguished tray revisions. Worth asking here, but don't turn my unanswered question into your explanation.
Then describe it as a miss after replacement, not a miss caused by replacement. That wording leaves room for a useful investigation without making the changeover operator the explanation.
I'd keep the earlier good runs in the report too. Finding a limitation doesn't mean the locator did nothing; it means those runs didn't establish the claim you were about to make.

A separate contact comparison can now be proposed without rewriting the earlier observation. Record the approved setup, tray condition and same-part repeat checks so you know which variable changed.
I'd want the handover to say what remains unobserved, not just ask for more video. First pickup contact and tray seating are two specific gaps people can plan around.
The cell trainer owns the next supervised comparison. My posted update now includes the later miss, the missing contact view and the fact that we haven't confirmed a cause.
Has stores answered the revision question yet? It might simply confirm both trays are nominally the same, which would still leave the actual seating comparison to do.
