Our puck seems to turn slightly as the fingers close. Pickup points have been adjusted twice, but I cannot find a measurement of the fingers since they were replaced. Could a tool inspection establish whether the contacts are square before we change another point?

Yes, have the responsible maintenance person check the fitted fingers, mounting and locating surfaces with the equipment isolated for inspection, and compare them with the intended tooling drawing. Include the puck seating height in that check, because correct fingers can meet the wrong part of the surface if the fixture presents it differently. Put the findings beside the two teaching changes so the programmer can review those afterwards.
