Map the intended locating contacts from the bracket drawing, then show where each retained bench sample actually touches before clamping. Include any extra end or side stop that meets the part before its intended locating features seat
Toolmaker found the extra end stop contacts some samples before the hole locators seat. Drawing relationship being checked; stronger clamp not ordered.
Have tooling and inspection settle what that end stop is intended to do before changing it. A convenient extra contact can conflict with the features which actually define the inspection position
Will the revised nest be checked with the whole retained sample range, including those which already seated? You want the conflict removed without losing useful support elsewhere
