Our UR5e dispatch pattern rotates component cases over support gaps; I know feeding work must stay beside the capacity figure, but first how do packaging and tooling judge the same filled-case arrangement?
Put the required bearing areas over the layer underneath, then show tool release in that arrangement; packaging rejected a rotated row in our own proposal, but I can't judge yours from gaps alone
Bring a filled case to that review if the support detail is unclear. Our insert concentrated load in two narrow areas that the outside drawing did not reveal. You do not need to buy a tool to discover that sort of mismatch.
I would compare the placement order as well. Tool clearance beside the first case is not necessarily available beside the last one, once the other cartons occupy the layer
Can the pattern change before tooling is committed? An aligned arrangement might be worth a rough comparison. Lower count is a cost, but not automatically a worse working process.
Isabel, our row change needed another withdrawal review too, so I would keep your alternative as a candidate rather than assume aligned means easy for the tool
On one packing job, the end-of-order partial was where the ordinary arrangement stopped being ordinary. I would ask who finishes that pallet and where the remaining cases are supported, not just how the full layer looks.
Then both candidates need that task added. The robot's finished placement is not the warehouse's finished pallet, especially if the operator needs access through the same area
Exactly. I would invite that operator to review the partial finish before the arrangement is frozen. A cost allowance for their time will not tell you whether the work is practical.
That leaves support preference, tool access and partial finishing as distinct decisions; I would retain that split when the supplier updates the price, otherwise the attractive count can swallow the unfinished work again
