How do I stop our UR5e recipe trusting the insert bag label?

Stores can tell our two housing inserts apart while they are in bags. Fitted in the proposed UR5e nest, they look almost identical and can apparently be reversed. I want tooling identity, orientation and recipe agreement reviewed together. A larger sticker on the empty bag will not do it.

Ask tooling about preventing reversal physically and controls about checking the installed family against the recipe. Our recent insert review also included removal after a valid check, so an earlier correct identity could not authorise a changed insert.

Tooling is considering a keyed arrangement. Controls had only planned a closed signal, so family agreement and removal after validation are now separate review items.

Include unreadable identity. Unknown must not become whichever family the operator expected.

Added that. The designer is proposing an identifier on the fitted insert, with the mapping maintained by controls and approved by tooling.

Does the draft define what the operator sees if the family disagrees, or only how the identifier is read? The handover needs the unresolved case as well as the successful comparison.

Only the read method so far. I have asked the two owners to agree the mismatch and unreadable states before presenting it as a finished changeover check.

And keep the physical keying status honest too. Proposed is not fitted.

Yes. Keying remains a drawing proposal; the identity and recipe cases are not tested. The review sheet now says both explicitly.

Have a relief operator try the eventual explanation once the behaviour is agreed. Someone outside the design meeting may notice an assumption hidden by those now-familiar family names.
