Cannot choose a scratch threshold from these bezel pictures

I am helping prepare the FR5 camera station for shift handover. A bright line on our aluminium bezel changes position between images, although the camera stays fixed. The trial folder calls all of these scratches. I cannot tell the operators which examples to trust.

Does the same physical bezel show the line in the same place when you inspect it away from the station?

No. I can see a small mark beside one hole, but not the broad line across the face. The broad line changes when I tilt the bezel under the lamp.

Can you identify that bezel in the existing image folder?

We had a similar muddle with trial photos where every part was called sample one. We kept one marked piece and photographed it again in the agreed inspection setup. Much easier to discuss the little real mark without mixing it up with the bright band.

Farah, were those existing images captured with the same lighting settings, or has somebody been trying alternatives?

They were trying alternatives. The filenames do not say which settings were used, and I cannot identify my bezel in that folder. We will make a new example set with identified pieces before the handover. I mean the inspection handover; the wider cell work is still continuing.

Keep the old folder apart from the operator examples. We left ours beside the new set and someone printed the first picture they found. All that sorting, and the wrong photo still ended up on the bench.
