I have two sets of FR10 collar samples on my desk. The supplier judged one under a ceiling light and the other after wiping it with something they have not identified. Both are described as no marks. I can see contact bands on both.
Before I ask operators to compare these, how do I get a test that uses one finish judgement and still checks that the collar stays held and releases into its nest?
Can your quality person provide the actual appearance requirement and approved cleaning method for the collars, so both pad sets start and finish under the same conditions?
They have supplied both. I've asked the seller to identify what they used on the second sample and arrange a repeat with unhandled collars. Their next trial also needs the real nest, not just opening the fingers over a bench.
Did the seller identify that cleaning material, Nadia, and agree to the repeat? I would like to hear whether the bands are still visible under your actual inspection method.
