Our bracket gets a pass only after the bit nobody priced

Haven't got one. The first measured check is with it clamped, then the final sheet is after straightening. Different supports too, because apparently that would be too easy.

That sounds like a reason to keep the extra work in the estimate for now. On our inspection nest I'm asking tooling to explain the contacts before buying a stronger clamp. A fixture looking convincing hasn't answered how the part actually sits.

Who currently decides a bracket needs straightening, and can they explain the check used before it goes to that bench?

Also identify the part and fixture revisions before comparing those old readings.

Same bracket revision, fixture unknown on the older sheet. Sam, the setter makes the call using a checking block that doesn't have an ID. I'll ask quality about that block.

Robin, that's the question I'd put at the top of the meeting. Otherwise everyone can spend an hour discussing the old paperwork and forget why the price changed.

Robin, no trial behind the omission. Estimator assumed the new fixture would hold it better. I don't want that assumption buying us a bench full of correction work later.

Retain a provisional allowance. Have quality and fabrication define paired released checks on identified current parts, with fit-up and measurement supports recorded.
