Our FR5 arrived with flat pads instead of the shaped pads agreed after our plastic-part trial, and the seller in China calls them equivalent because they fit the same fingers; what comparison should I request before our tooling review resumes?
Identify both pad sets and compare their actual contact with your samples. Then have the supplier assess holding, transfer and release using the delivered set. Fitting the screw holes isn't the job you trialled.
They supplied pad drawings and confirmed the contact shape changed, but their new clip only closes the gripper around a sample resting on the bench; I have not treated that as the requested transfer comparison
Ask for the agreed whole task or supply of the original pads, with purchasing handling the substitution terms. Don't let an endless series of partial clips become your unpaid development programme.
Purchasing has requested the original set as one option and a fully defined repeat trial as the other; no substitution accepted and no installation release
