Our FR5 instructions send maintenance to a button that is not there

Do not throw the other copies away. We inherited an old screen image that explained an operator's description after the current manual had everyone looking in the wrong place. Label unverified copies and keep them out of the working instructions.
11 pointsJasper, that is useful, our stores folder tends to make the newest email attachment the winner regardless of what is installed.
21 pointsThe integrator says PDF two is current, but its screenshot still has the extra button. I have asked them to match it to our installed program, not just pick a file
-9 pointsGood. Newest PDF and matching program aren't interchangeable.
7 pointsWhat does the missing button do in the instructions? If it releases an inspection decision, that section cannot remain in use with a handwritten guess.
-1 pointsNaomi, an annotated screenshot can be a useful operator aid once it is checked. I would not ban annotations altogether. The trouble is using them to invent a function nobody has confirmed.
20 pointsAgreed on checked annotations. I meant a guessed replacement for this particular action. What does the text actually tell the operator to do, Anika?
8 pointsIt says the button requests another housing after the result is recorded. Our cell uses a PLC request instead. Integrator has confirmed the picture came from their demonstration screen, not our installation.
8 pointsDoes the fixture shown belong to the demonstration as well, Anika, or can stores still use the insert picture to identify your spare?
13 pointsAlso get the called routines. A correct screen won't replace the missing program handover.
17 pointsFor our operators I would prefer one checked page about the actual request and what to do when it is not accepted. The full program package belongs with maintenance, not in a pile beside the loading position.
16 pointsSame here, though I would put the insert identity on that working page too, because the wrong spare can arrive with very convincing paperwork.
0 pointsAmara, the photo is also the demonstration insert. Our installed one is marked H4 and matches the stores drawing; I have given them that identification for the replacement page.
5 pointsDid anyone verify the full package opens with your maintenance account?
19 pointsNot yet. The replacement operator page has been checked against our setup, and the program files have arrived. Opening and dependency checks are still on maintenance's list.
12 pointsHas the person covering the other shift seen the corrected page? They may still have a printed copy of the demonstration instructions.
