Polished-cover reference labels outrun what we know about the pieces

I'm preparing FR10 polished-cover inspection. Small presentation changes move the bright streaks in our examples, but those streaks are labelled scratches. Before commissioning I want a reference set tied to physical decisions, then repeatable capture conditions. What is the first missing check?

Has whoever owns appearance acceptance examined the identified covers independently of these images, including whether a changing highlight might hide a real scratch?

No independent check of these covers yet. I've retained their identities and asked quality to examine them before we use the labels. Imaging can document the current setup meanwhile; it cannot settle the physical acceptance question for us.
