Compare what each running setup actually imports, including interpreter, module path and call signature from the usual shortcut. I would ask the maintainer to match those with the package handover before anyone changes the script to suit the accidental copy.
Has the documented environment been restored and the normal shortcut checked after a fresh sign-in, Jamie? That is the result I would want before calling the rebuild finished.
