We're estimating a cell using Fairino FR5 for carton pocket filling with a small retail carton in a supervised packaging cell, with 42 planned. The initial robot price appeared manageable, but presentation fixtures, guarding and operator training have expanded the estimate.
I'd like to compare the complete proposals while showing honestly which costs remain uncertain.
I've found carton presentation included in one offer and assigned to us in the other. Once I account for our share, the apparent price difference reduces substantially.
@PriyaChan1090 Bring the offers onto a common scope by listing each responsibility, its quoted cost and any unpriced allowance. Include work your team must supply so the resulting totals describe equivalent commitments.
@HenryBarnes0525 On my own cell estimate, acceptance attendance and recipe preparation were invisible until we listed our staff's tasks. Neither appeared on the supplier invoice.
Same omission here. Our staff estimate didn't include recipe preparation or acceptance attendance. Adding them makes the internal-work column less imaginary.
My conclusion was too narrow. Comparable costs are only part of the decision; you also need to compare acceptance commitments and support responsibility against your requirements.
