I've allowed for extra pallets if our UR5e pattern changes, but I still cannot price an alternative whose support only looks adequate with the fingers underneath it. The actual carton has narrow bearing areas. Can packaging and tooling return one drawing through release and withdrawal before I compare the costs?
Yes. Use the identified packed carton and actual lower layer on the same section as the complete fingers. Ask them to show what carries each bearing area after release, not only where the carton is placed.
The current section uses a generic solid-bottom box. I have sent the construction reference and packaging's marked sample. Their turned position appears to rely on the very gap the fingers leave through.
If they propose a different carton, price that as a separate option with packing and dispatch involved. Keep an alternative using your current carton beside it; a packaging change can bring its own daily work and supply dependence
They are keeping our current carton for the first comparison. Packaging rejected the unsupported turned positions. Tooling is assessing unturned rows with the actual bearing strips and full finger exit shown.
Has dispatch supplied its ordinary partial orders too? Extra pallets can mean either more completed loads or more unfinished ones waiting for a later run.
Yes, including which partly filled pallets leave as completed orders and which return later. The price comparison keeps those handoffs separate; it does not assume every pallet reaches the illustrated full layer.
Keep the returns in the tool study as well. Their accepted starting condition needs to be known, especially where a previous placement was interrupted.
