I checked our proposed sensor-cover inserts on the bench. Two families look alike, and one will sit in the carrier backwards. The recipe selector doesn't know I've removed anything. How do I get tooling and controls to agree what a completed changeover means before we hand this over?
Show them the wrong insert seated backwards, then ask what identifies family and orientation and what clears the previous confirmation when you remove it. One nicer label won't cover all three.
Tooling has proposed a keyed insert, and controls has changed the offline changeover logic so removal invalidates the previous confirmation. The wrong-family and missing-confirmation cases stay blocked in their tests. We haven't tried the new physical insert yet, so I've kept that as a separate handover requirement.
