I would send cartons from your incoming stock. Actually, several identified ones, not just the nicest box someone finds near dispatch. The supplier needs to see the variety you're worried about.

Will those examples have the normal contents and closure method? An empty assembled carton could respond differently from the packed box your tooling must move.
Could you include a carton that has been through normal storage too? Ours looked tidier straight from assembly than they did when a shift finally got to them.

What will the supplier report when a sample does not meet the required hold? I would want the condition and cup location recorded, rather than only a total number of successful pickups.
