The workshop laptop sometimes receives a ping reply, but the documented read-only FR5 identity check times out. A visiting laptop worked. Its notes record the address but not the selected interface or route, so I would like that comparison completed before changing controller settings.

Has the network owner confirmed what answered that ping, then compared the actual interface, route and documented service access on the two laptops, with their software versions recorded? One address in the visiting notes does not describe the working arrangement.
