I added a rear locator to our UR5e sleeve-transfer tray and got a lovely little run of clean placements. Then we swapped the tray and clipped a pocket edge. So much for my triumphant update.
I want to post something useful for the next person trying this. The locator seems worth keeping, but I haven't earned the word fixed. What would you include in the comparison?
Photograph the two empty trays beside each other first. Undersides too. Cheap check, and it gives you something less vague than same drawing number if they're visibly different.
That's what caught me on ours, Ada. Rear edge hidden by the next shelf. I was pushing the front and feeling very certain about something I couldn't see.
Mei, the underside photos showed an extra rib on the second tray. Toolmaker is checking its contact with the locator. Ada, the rear contact is hidden from the loading position, so I've included that in the change request too. My update now says improved on one tray, failed after substitution.
Ada, we changed the stop position. A mirror got suggested but would've been one more thing to clean and knock. Different station from Hana's, so I can't say that's her answer.
