I cannot put the promised UR5e spare cable on our stock sheet

Our UR5e order from an unnamed Chinese seller matches on main hardware, including the fitted tool cable. The additional spare cable is absent. Twenty-two days of next-shipment replies, no tracking. Assembly-nest placement is planned; I need a credible spare position, not another description of the installed cable.

Keep the additional cable as an outstanding order line, with the fitted cable recorded separately so nobody closes it from the installation check.

Ask whether they have that spare physically available. Next shipment could mean waiting for stock or waiting to combine parcels. Those are different planning problems. Send the promised kit list with the question so they cannot answer about the fitted item.

Owen, I'd ask for separate dispatch as well, otherwise knowing it's in stock still leaves Isabel waiting on somebody else's order. Has the seller proposed a date for the cable itself?

No cable-specific date. I've sent the spare-kit line back and requested stock status plus separate dispatch. Our own list now distinguishes the installed cable from the missing additional one, which it should have done at receipt.

Separate dispatch is a request, not an agreed remedy yet. Keep that wording in the internal update. Otherwise somebody may book work against a parcel that only exists in the email you sent.

Fair point, Liam. I was describing what to ask for, not saying the seller had accepted it. Isabel, does maintenance need this spare before the planned work, or is that decision also waiting?

That readiness decision belongs with maintenance and planning; the outstanding purchase line can remain open whichever way they decide.

Also confirm the replacement reference against the installed assembly. A parcel arriving with a cable is not enough if nobody can establish that it is the promised usable spare. No need to order another one just to answer that question.

Maintenance hasn't made the readiness decision. I have asked for it separately. The seller has acknowledged my message but supplied neither availability nor a dispatch date; purchasing still shows the extra cable as missing.

That acknowledgement does at least confirm where your request went. It doesn't improve the stock position. I would retain the original promise beside the correspondence, without repeatedly shifting the expected receipt date forward internally.

Any named contact taking the cable question now? A shared sales inbox can keep replying without anyone actually checking the shelf.

Still the sales contact. I've asked them to get a named person to answer the missing-spare line. No parcel to report, and no change to our stock record.
