Why do both tooling quotes stop weighing things at the housing?

I've got two UR5e gripper proposals for an aluminium housing. Both say the part mass is fine. One has long fingers, an adapter and a little forest of fittings. Do those bits become weightless because they're in another line of the quote? What should I ask for to compare the complete assemblies? I'm happy to have a proper load review done, but I'd like to send someone the information they actually need rather than two cheerful yeses.

Complete tool mass, held-part position and centre of gravity relative to the flange. Start there.

Thanks. Including the adapter and fittings, presumably? The first supplier's tool mass leaves the adapter out.

Our teaching tool gained a spacer during commissioning and the old load sheet stayed in the folder. Nobody meant to hide it. Ask for one assembled drawing so you can check the quoted masses against what will actually be fitted.

And who checks that assembly against the robot's applicable load guidance? Name someone in the proposal.

To reach past a locating wall. The shorter fingers need a different approach, which hasn't been drawn. So that quote has a missing access check as well as missing load data.

Get both approaches checked. Can't compare tools if only one has a route into the fixture.

Will you be changing fingers for other housings later? I'm wondering whether you're buying one fixed setup or something maintenance will keep rebuilding. The load information needs to follow those changes too.

One family initially, others only proposed. I'll keep those future versions out of this approval and ask what each change would need reviewed. Enough loose ends in the first setup already.
