Our FR10 diagnostic laptop gives occasional ping replies and consistent read-only service timeouts. A borrowed laptop worked on the same bench cable. I didn't capture its settings before it left. Excellent preparation on my part.
I can borrow it again. What should I compare so we stop treating every timeout as an instruction to change the controller?

Capture the active interface, destination, route and documented service connection on both laptops, then the interpreter and SDK version; ping success alone does not establish that the required service is reachable from the process actually running your script.
