different FR10 suffix and an interface our drawing does not describe

Sent our fixture drawing before ordering, got the configuration confirmed, then received an FR10 with another suffix and a different-looking mounting interface. The seller in China keeps saying equivalent. Thirty-three days now. Left the tooling unfitted. I need to understand the delivered bits before the fitter gets handed my pile of emails as installation information.

Put the order confirmation, supplied label and actual interface photographs beside the drawing reference. Ask their technical contact to identify the delivered assembly and explain every relevant difference. The suffix alone does not tell your fitter what fits.

I've sent that comparison request. Sales replied with a drawing of the ordered configuration again. It agrees with our order, but still doesn't describe the interface in the photos.

Tell them which question that drawing leaves unanswered. Otherwise they may count another attachment as the clarification you requested.

Did that. They have now identified the delivered adapter reference and sent its assembly drawing. I'm waiting for the fitter's comparison, not treating a new PDF as an acceptance.

Good. Have the comparison cover mounting, connections and the resulting tool arrangement. If a change is needed, ask who supplies and documents it before anyone improvises a solution.

Fitter found the locating feature differs from the confirmed fixture interface. Seller has offered an adapter change, with a revised assembly drawing to follow. Nothing fitted or modified here.

Does the offer state who covers supply and installation work, or only that an adapter exists?

Only that they can supply one. I've asked for the scope and charges alongside the drawing. We know why the original interface won't match now; we haven't agreed the remedy.
