Who supplies those bearing regions? The tooling designer should not have to invent the carton requirement from the outer dimensions and an arrow.

Packaging owns that answer, and tooling needs the same numbered layout for approach, release and withdrawal. Their separate conditions should remain visible even if one person coordinates the decision

Include the actual pallet deck for the first layer. The carton-to-carton picture is only part of the support chain, and a solid rectangle under the stack can hide a different gap at the bottom.

Packaging has identified bearing strips for this packed revision. They reject two rotated positions over gaps. Tooling wants to add an intermediate support surface, but has not defined how it gets there.

Then that is a proposal with another handling step attached, not a solved support question; who would place and maintain the added surface?

Our teaching notes lost a manual finishing step because it was not in the robot sequence. Put this proposed support placement into the process description while it is being assessed.

Also keep the support surface's occupied space in the withdrawal review; added bearing may remove space the fingers previously used

Could packaging assess another layer pattern first? I am not saying it will work, but the alternative to the present rotations need not start by adding hardware and a manual step.

Is alternating orientation required by the packed product or by dispatch? I would settle that before comparing several elaborate ways to preserve it.

And do not forget the capacity consequence of another pattern. A technically acceptable layout can still require more pallet movements than this dispatch area can accommodate.

Dispatch does not require alternation. We have asked for an aligned candidate with its capacity stated, while the added-support proposal remains separate. No support device ordered.

Include permitted partial orders in both candidates. Otherwise the apparently simpler option may still need a finishing task outside the full-pallet drawing

Has the aligned candidate been drawn against the same pallet and packing revision yet? Without that, an apparent improvement could just be a different support assumption rather than the changed orientation.

Yes. Packaging accepts the aligned candidate's bearing on the specified pallet, and tooling has checked the numbered full-layer release sequence. Partial-order review and dispatch capacity decision remain open; the added-support candidate is withdrawn.

Keep that partial status on the quotation attachment as well, because the accepted full-layer findings could otherwise travel as a complete pattern approval

Please return with the partial-order result. That is where the remaining finishing work, if any, will become clear.
