our two inserts share a label on the storage box

The box label won't identify what is fitted. Our proposed UR5e connector station has two similar inserts stored together, and the first sample can also sit backwards on its mounting. I want the actual insert and orientation checked against the selected recipe. Colouring the box is not enough.

Can the mounting prevent reversal without stopping you cleaning the locating faces?

Tooling has proposed an asymmetric locating feature away from the cleaning access. That would prevent reversal, but both product inserts still fit that mounting. We still need to identify the family actually installed.

What happens to that family confirmation when the insert is removed?

The controls draft kept it until a new recipe was selected. Wrong for replacing an insert with the same recipe still on screen. They have changed the offline logic to require a fresh match after removal and are adding restart cases to the review.

And who checks the spare insert has the right identity before it joins that box?
