How do I compare pad marks when the sample photos hide them?

Our FR10 gripper trial has left two dull bands on some finished collars. The supplier's photos make them look clean; under our inspection lamp I can see the bands straight away. I'd like a comparison everyone can repeat before we buy their softer pads, including whether the collars release properly.

Were those collars inspected before the trial, so you know the dull bands were new?

Yes, our inspector checked and identified them before dispatch. The bands line up with the contact areas. I should say they're visible here, not automatically unacceptable; we haven't agreed a borderline example for this finish.

Can your inspector and the customer-facing quality person agree that example under one viewing setup?

And get the exact pad set named in the next trial. My sample trial and delivered pads didn't match, so a lovely result can become useless when stores orders the replacement.
