Our UR5e pallet drawing leaves the carton bearing edges over gaps

The alternating layer fits the pallet outline. It leaves two required carton bearing edges over finger channels. Packaging has not approved that support. I want one combined review before the neat drawing becomes the assumed design in our buying comparison.

Put the filled carton requirement beside a section through the actual lower layer, then have tooling show its placement and exit there; a top view lets each team imagine the missing support differently.

Combined section made. Packaging rejects the two turned positions. They suggest a straight pattern with fewer cartons. Tooling has not checked its exit yet.

What happens at the end of a short order? I'd want the packer to see that partial layer as well as the full straight pattern. It is usually the bit the repeated animation skips.

Include the support during each placement too. A carton can be supported in the finished layer by a neighbour that is not there when it arrives.

Chen and Anil are asking for different useful views, Marcus: the order stopping early and the normal build before all its neighbours exist.

Both added to the review. The straight pattern's full sequence is acceptable to packaging. One partial-order exit still brings the fingers close to the previous carton, so tooling is revising that route.

Has anyone priced the extra pallet changes from the smaller layer yet? No need to reject it for that, but the packer still has to do those changes.

Yes. Whole-order cost includes the extra pallet handling and freight. Still worth considering. Pattern remains pending the revised partial-order exit, not accepted on price alone.
