Projection alone cannot explain my hand-loaded spacer blanks

My UR5e loading proposal has a sheet of different exposed lengths and no blank dimensions. How do I distinguish stock variation from seating? Automatic loading remains unauthorised.

Pair each identified blank's overall length with its projection from an agreed reference, under the documented manual setup. Then repeat loading of the same blank. Different blanks with different projection do not by themselves tell you whether the seating is repeatable.

Record the chuck, jaws and stop arrangement with that sheet, including what defines contact for the manual method. Otherwise somebody can helpfully change the setup between samples and leave you comparing two jobs without knowing it

Setter owns the manual study. We have not identified the stop reference on the old sheet.

Keep the old projection readings as limited evidence. You can start a new identified study without pretending the new reference explains what the old setter used.

Also repeat the measurement without reseating. That helps quality distinguish reading variation from an actual change in how the blank sits, rather than assign every different number to loading.

Are the blank ends equivalent for measuring length? I would have the setter and quality name which surfaces define the dimension, rather than let each person choose the most convenient edge to reach

And record the insertion orientation if it matters to the chosen contact. I would not assume reversing a nominally cylindrical blank leaves every end condition unchanged.

Quality is defining the length surfaces and reading method. The draft now distinguishes repeated readings from repeated seating.

Manual study plan agreed, including setup reference and orientation. No new measurements yet; the old projection spread remains unexplained.

That is enough preparation to make the next readings useful. Keep automatic loading out of the conclusion until the seating question and the proposed loading method have their own assessment.
