The proposed inspection nest locates our mounting bracket on pads and hole features, but some accepted samples catch the loading guide before reaching the pads. A stronger clamp has been suggested. Which contacts should the designer separate before we choose the clamp?

Have the designer mark which features locate, which only support the inspection load and which are loading guides, then compare the accepted sample range on those intended contacts. Where exactly does the guide catch, and was that surface ever meant to set the bracket's position?
