SDK request fails, dashboard carries on looking perfectly happy

Changed the FR5 SDK environment. Read-only training dashboard now gets a container instead of the old value. A failed request still produces a believable status on screen. Splendid. Where would you put the validity check?

At the point where you interpret the SDK reply, before it reaches the display, because the screen shouldn't have to guess whether a number came from a successful request

Found a fallback taking the first numeric field. Removed that. Failure is now unavailable, rather than whatever innocent-looking number happened to be there.

Keep the last valid reading separate too, so someone can see an old value without mistaking it for a fresh one

Did you try a reply with a missing field as well as an explicit failure? That's the case I'd want before handing the screen over.
