What comparison should cover the changed FR10 mounting shoulder?

I need our FR10 supplier to compare the delivered mounting arrangement with the one confirmed against our inspection fixture. The suffix differs and the plate shoulder looks deeper. Tooling remains unfitted. Their answer is equivalent, with no drawing that explains how our fixture is meant to locate.

Ask for a section through that shoulder and the mating fixture, tied to both references. A front view can make different depths look conveniently identical.

Keep the original configuration request open as well. Assessing their substitute should not quietly become agreement to pay for modifying your fixture.

Include which assembly information maintenance would receive if the substitute is accepted. The fitted reference needs to match the instructions and future spare order, not only the supplier's email description.

Harish, the only supplied drawing is a front view. Alex, I have asked whether they can supply the confirmed configuration instead. Felix, our installer has the mismatch on hold and has not accepted their generic guide.

On a fixture review we could not judge a change until the locating surfaces were shown together. Is the deeper shoulder an observation from the part, Isabel, or from the label difference?

Will's question matters. I meant request the section, not assume the suffix explains what changed.

From the part, Will. It is a visual observation only; the installer will compare dimensions once the supplier identifies the correct drawing. I am not converting the suffix into a dimensional claim.

Has the supplier answered the original-configuration request, or only offered to help adapt this one?

Alex, that answer should include the whole kit. A different plate alone may not restore the confirmed arrangement if the locating pieces or fasteners changed with it.

Isabel, can the installer mark the questioned surface on one photograph while you wait? Might save another answer about the bolt holes.

Done, Harish: overall view plus the marked shoulder. Alex, original kit availability is unanswered. Felix, I have requested a complete contents comparison, not an offer to send a loose plate.

Keep the proposed loading task in the technical comparison too. If the shoulder changes where the held fixture sits, an interface that assembles may still need a different clearance assessment.

The supplier has acknowledged the marked shoulder and says engineering will reply. Nothing dimensioned yet. Will, the installer has added the resulting tool position and clearance to the comparison request.

That is still a pending answer, then. No reason to approve installation from the acknowledgement alone.

Thanks for keeping the question on the actual shoulder, Isabel. Interested whether engineering supplies the section or proposes restoring the original kit.
