Seller says equivalent but hasn't supplied a comparison (Universal Robots UR5e)

I ordered Universal Robots UR5e from an unnamed seller in China after they confirmed a configuration against our fixture drawing. The delivered label has a different suffix, and the interface around the tool interface bracket looks different from that drawing. The seller says equivalent but hasn't provided a comparison. I've left our tooling unfitted and waited 36 days for clarification.

Do you've the seller's confirmation, delivered identification label, and fixture drawing available together? Comparing those would identify the discrepancy without assuming what the suffix means.

@AdaBennett0738 I've the prepayment confirmation referring to our drawing and the different delivered identifier. Our unpacking photographs also show the interface as received, with no tooling installed.

Send that comparison and ask for the applicable interface drawing for the delivered configuration. Leave the tooling unfitted while compatibility is checked.

Is the suffix enough to call it the wrong revision? I don't want the whole conversation derailed by what one letter means.

@AnikaChan1117 Call it a configuration discrepancy. Quote both identifiers and show the visible interface difference. That gives them two concrete things to explain.

A matching interface drawing would establish that the delivered configuration is compatible with your fixture. Request that document to support the seller's equivalence claim.

@AdaBennett0738 Mechanical fit isn't the whole compatibility question. A drawing can't settle every connection or application requirement.

I overstated what that document would establish. The drawing can help resolve physical fit, while the remaining compatibility questions need assessment against your intended configuration and application.

@AdaBennett0738 Could they just have changed the label? Or does the different-looking interface rule that out?
