Our FR5 mode wrapper finds a believable value inside a failed response

The old SDK value went straight into our read-only mode label; after the replacement started returning a richer container, even failed requests can produce a plausible dashboard reading, so I need to fix the interpretation at the wrapper rather than teach users to distrust a particular colour.

Start from the loaded version's documented response contract, validate request success and the required value before mapping a mode, and keep failed, malformed and unknown results explicit; otherwise you're only choosing a more convincing-looking field from a response you haven't established is usable.
