FR10 arm received against a two-package order

We unpacked the FR10 arm and found no controller or controller power lead. The packing list says two packages, but the carrier receipt only counts one pallet. Seller says the missing items travelled separately without giving another reference. We've kept the crate and packing. I need to establish whether package two was on that pallet or never joined it.

Does the pallet receipt identify its contents or only the outer pallet number?

Only the outer number. The arm crate has a package label, and the photographs show no second package visible on arrival. Seller's loading photograph shows two crates but no readable pallet number.

Ask whoever consolidated the pallet to connect its outer number to the package labels. The two-crate photograph might be useful, but you need to know whether it shows your actual load before relying on the count.

And keep the power lead named. Controller alone won't finish the shortage.

Jo, that is why I prefer an item checklist alongside the freight trace; otherwise the transport answer can close the ticket while maintenance is still missing something.

Leo, has the consolidator identified the second crate from those labels yet?

I would put seller and consolidator in the same exchange if their references differ. We once had a pallet number used as though it were the missing carton number, and every search came back delivered.

Alex, did the carton turn up under another reference, or had it actually been left behind?

Our consolidator has now identified two separate pallet references. The second is still at their warehouse. They confirm the controller crate is there; we have asked them and the seller to verify the lead against the contents list before arranging onward transport.

Hazel, ours was under a second reference and had not joined the delivered pallet. Similar paperwork confusion, although Leo's warehouse now needs to answer for his specific crate and contents.

Any effect on your training booking, Leo?

Good that the location is identified, but onward transport is still a separate question from the warehouse finding it.

Training remains unbooked, Jo. Seller has confirmed the lead is listed in that crate; the warehouse has agreed a contents check, not completed it. No onward collection confirmed. Our shortage list still has both items open.

Please keep that list with the receiving instructions. When it does arrive, whoever opens it should not need this whole conversation to work out what remains to be checked.
