Use the same identified puck for a few comparisons before buying parts. Or rather, keep both the puck and its tray pocket identified; changing both makes a very cheap test surprisingly expensive to interpret.

3 pointsWe chased a similar lean through the tray once. Worn contact on one finger, in our case. A photograph straight down made the part look seated because you couldn't see the little lift at the back.

12 pointsThat still gives maintenance a useful direction to investigate. The edited setup will need reviewing with the pad repair, otherwise the adjustment made around the loose pad stays in the comparison.
