We are sorting examples for an FR10 cover inspection trial, and one cover has managed to appear in both the good and scratched folders. The scratched photograph was taken after someone turned the cover slightly to keep a clamp out of view. The bright line moved with it.
I can explain that much to the team, but I don't want to relabel the part myself just because the picture looks suspicious. What should quality and the camera person agree before we collect another folder full of contradictory examples?

Have quality examine and identify the physical cover against its appearance requirement, then link all its photographs to that decision. Keep any uncertainty explicit until that is done. The camera comparison should use the intended holder and controlled presentation, with lighting and camera settings retained. Include known defects as well as accepted reflective examples; removing the moving streak would not be a useful improvement if the real defects disappear too.
