Our working laptop used a dock connection nobody had written down. Put both machines on the same documented connection for the comparison, with IT checking their adapter addresses, route and target service. Keep the script and SDK versions visible too.
The borrowed machine did use a dock. IT is comparing the actual routes and software environments now. Thanks; I had recorded laptop names and almost none of the useful details.
Let us know what differs. A successful ping is worth recording, but it won't tell you whether the application reached the right service through the intended connection.
