Our replacement SDK returns a structured response where the old environment returned the value expected by the wrapper. The dashboard now extracts a number from failed replies and stamps it as current. I want the adapter to handle both supported contracts explicitly, with no useful data represented as unavailable.
Start with a saved failure that shows the bug and the documentation for the loaded version. Check the success indication before extracting the named status value, then test the screen after a good reply followed by that failure.
The saved failure reproduces it. Maintainer has identified both contracts; the first test now asserts unavailable rather than just checking that the display contains text.
Add success with the required value missing too. The outer reply can sound fine while the useful bit isn't there, and the adapter mustn't fill that hole with a believable default.
