What training and changeover costs belong in our FR10 insert-loading estimate?

I need a complete cost comparison for our FR10 carton-insert proposal. One quote includes the arm and tool, another includes presentation fixtures, but neither says who teaches the later carton sizes or supports a stopped shift. The missing work is bigger than the apparent price difference.

List the agreed carton sizes and who owns their setup first. Otherwise one supplier can price a single demonstration while another prices the job you actually expect to run.

We have three initial sizes. The cheaper quote covers one, with the other two left as customer programming. That was not obvious in the headline total.

Who is the customer programmer they're expecting, Isabel, and will that person actually have time to do it?

Apparently me, because I attended the demonstration. I can coordinate the work, but I am not agreeing to become the unpriced commissioning team. Asked for all three sizes in the proposal.

Include fixture design and replacement information too. A working sample nest without enough detail to maintain or remake it can make every later change another paid discovery.

How many operators and shifts need the training, including the awkward recovery bits rather than just pressing start?

Two shifts, with a maintainer covering both. Training was priced for one attendee. We've requested operator practice and maintainer handover separately, with cover time in our internal estimate.

Compare the revised scope before comparing totals again. You've found enough differences that the original price gap isn't a useful purchasing shortcut anymore.
