Can I drop the turned layer and keep our UR5e pallet plan?

Packaging has objected to the turned cartons in our UR5e drawing because their reinforced bottoms end up over gaps. I'd happily lose a few positions and use straight rows, but the quote treats the alternating layer as sacred. Can I ask for a different pattern without restarting the whole discussion?

Has packaging seen your straight-row alternative with the same packed carton?

They have now. It keeps the reinforced strips supported in their review. Tooling hasn't checked withdrawal yet, so I've asked for a price and access check on that version.

Does the lower count create extra pallet changes for your packer?

Yes, and I've put that time in the comparison. Still looks preferable to arguing a carton into having a different bottom. Thanks for the nudge; I'd counted pallets but not her trips.

Interested in the final choice. More pallets may still be the simpler working arrangement.
