FR10 fixture sketch without the body of the gripper

Considering an FR10 beside our enclosed mill for twelve short steel blanks. The sketch reaches the fixture but omits the gripper body and open door. Which geometry should I request before we compare arm options?

Does the toolmaker have a complete assembly drawing, including the adapter and the blank as held?

There is an assembly drawing. I have asked for it because our layout reviewer received only finger dimensions.

I would send measured open-door geometry with it, including the parked door and fittings; otherwise the reviewer may correctly model the tool against an opening that still does not describe your machine.

Door measurements requested from our setter. The first sketch used the nominal opening size from the machine brochure.

And show withdrawal with the blank; reaching an empty target leaves that unanswered.

Will the setter also get to review where the robot parks during fixture changes?

Yes. I have asked him to mark his trolley and work area on the same layout. Base position remains provisional.

If a different base position becomes an option, include the route back to the tray in that comparison; a more comfortable machine approach may create a worse transfer elsewhere in the cell.

The completed static model shows a door-handle clash. Designer is comparing another tool orientation before proposing a base move. No full route checked yet.

Toolmaker is reviewing whether that alternate orientation suits the blank. I have held the arm selection and included the unanswered parking question in the review notes.

Has the setter's trolley area actually made it into the revised model, or is that still just in your notes?
